Sparkly Purple Birthday Eye Look

Hello!

As promised, you get to see why I wanted the L'Oreal Color Infallible in Purple Obsession. I used it for this look (a birthday look for me). I spent ages finding exactly the right shades of purple for this look and I was very happy with how it turned out (got some nice compliments on my makeup, too- always a plus!).

So here it goes, my first eye look.

Thanks for stopping by my makeup and beauty blog. This is my first foray into the blogging world and I'm very excited that I've finally bitten the bullet and decided to start my own! I hope you'll enjoy my posts.

So, here it goes. My name is Anna and I'm a makeup and beauty addict. I think my love of all things beauty-related became an official obsession about 6 months ago, when I realised that I don't check the news or Facebook or the weather- I check my favourite beauty blogs within 30 minutes of waking! I am 21 years old and from Brisbane, Australia. 


I've been experimenting with makeup for years, with varying levels of success. Looking back at old photos, I'm lucky to have escaped full-on makeup disasters (no clown makeup luckily) but I'm very glad my technique has improved! It's taken a great deal of trial and error to figure out the best application techniques and products, and I've gotten to the stage where I'm proficient, not perfect. I'm still learning and looking for better ways to do things and I'd like to share the journey with you. I've recently branched out into doing other people's makeup, too. I'm a complete newbie- I've only got one school formal under my belt! My client was so happy with the look we created that it's given me the confidence to volunteer my help with a uni production, something I'm greatly looking forward to.


I view makeup as a fun way to express your personality, mood and creativity. While I don't think makeup should be the basis for anyone's self-esteem, you can't deny makeup can help lift your mood (bright colours on rainy days, anyone?) and make you feel extra amazing. Nothing wrong with that! So why "Bright Eyed"? My main love is eye makeup and in terms of looks I post up, it'll be all about the eye makeup. I'll also be putting up some product reviews complete with swatches, comparisons and the like.
